Referrer and Broker Obligations

Friendly suggestions on how to ensure you promote the Referral Partnership with your clients/members and
follow regulatory guidelines:

Within our partnership agreement, both the Broker (AB Phillips) and Referrer (you), are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 & the Australian Privacy Principals. The Privacy Act stipulates that as a ‘referrer’, you are communicating to your clients the following:

When speaking with them verbally or emailing them and recommending our products & Services, you mention there is a referral agreement in place between you (the Referrer), and us (AB Phillips). As a part of that agreement, there may be times clients may be contacted by your Partners for marketing purposes, in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principals.

We have attached for you below a sample of what you could say when recommending our products and services, including some sample content when speaking with your clients verbally / via written communication.

If you have any questions in relation to our examples, please do not hesitate to contact us.
